Buhari;I have not yet failure on fight against insurgency.

In a fresh interview with Al Jazeerah, President Buhari says he has not failed in his war against Boko Haram despite some recorded incidents of attacks by the sect members in some parts of Nigeria     “I have not failed. When we came in Boko Haram was effectively in 14 local governments. Nigeria has 774 local governments. They hoist their flags and they said they had a certain caliphate but today they no longer to hold any local government.     They have reverted to improvised explosive devices blowing soft targets, and that will be a kind of terrorism which will be difficult to eliminate because it is technological, but they cannot hold any local government again. Dele momodu: I think it's time to rewrite APC manifesto

Image
Article written by journalist and Ovation publisher, Dele Momodu. Read below...     Fellow Nigerians, something melodramatic occurred some days ago in Doha, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, where President Muhammadu Buhari dropped a bombshell inadvertently. And what was the matter? The President in his usual candour and uncommon honesty announced that one of his major campaign promises was no longer feasible and practicable; the plan to pay unemployed youths a paltry sum of N5,000 monthly stipend was thus summarily jettisoned. Or so it seemed. To be accurate, what Mr President said with a wry smile was that this was a campaign promise of his Party and was one of the cardinal points of his Party’s Manifesto but he had not personally campaigned about it and it was not going to be a priority of his administration in view of other more significant and important challenges. However, all hell broke loose on social media because the President’s body language actually suggested that the pledge

Image
In a recent Chinese TV interview, well-known martial artist and actor Jackie Chan slammed America as “the most corrupt country in the world.” Although the remarks may come as a surprise to many Americans, The Washington Post notes that Chan is a passionate political activist, “a staunch defender of the Chinese Communist party” and a “harsh critic of anyone he sees as opposing Beijing.” In a new piece called “The anti-Americanism of Jack Chan,” author Max Fishertranscribes the recent interview and notes that Chan has been “stirring controversy for a few years now for criticizing Taiwan and Hong Kong as models of what can go wrong when you have ‘too much freedom.’” Chan also says that Chinese citizens should not criticize their country to foreigners and notes that he is always cognizant of this in American interviews. He adds that although China may also has a “corruption” problem, the country is “making progress.” The cause of the world financial crisis, or “Great Breakdown,” accord

Ronaldo and Messi have each shared the Ballon D'or Award since 2007 and both superstar footballers play for Spain's two most powerful clubs Real Madrid and Barcelona, leading to suggestions of intense rivalry between the pair. But speaking to Argentine newspaper El Grafico, Messi said it's only mutual respect that exists between them not hate or love.     "We are professionals that defend our teams, and rivals in this game, nothing more than that. Sometimes it happens that we win or that we lose. There has always been respect and nothing more." However, the Barcelona star made it clear that his ambitions rest on more silverware, not individual prizes.     "I prefer to win something with the national team," he said. "I am not interested in records. They are there, but th
