I don't support violence (see photo)

Abuja - First Lady, Patience Jonathan has denied promoting political violence with her comments, reports Punch.

She noted that she is a woman of peace that will never in any way be identified with violence before, during and after elections.

Patience Jonathan was reacting to the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to report her to the International Criminal Court (ICC) for allegedly asking supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party to stone anyone canvassing for change, the APC slogan, during a campaign rally in Calabar, Cross River State.

She noted that as the President of the African First Ladies Mission, there was no way she would be promoting violence under any guise.

The First Lady, who spoke through her her media aide, Ayo Adewuyi, said she was not ready to be dragged into any argument with the APC concerning the case in ICC.
